Yeah. Comet’s mom was picked up as a very pregnant stray, no chip or collar, nobody claimed her. She went to our greyhound rescue group to give birth to what everyone thought would be grey mixes. DNA tests all came back as 100% greyhound. On the upside, she and all her pups are now in great homes!

At any rate, we know unethical people are breeding them because the local shelters get pregnant females and puppies dumped regularly, and I can’t imagine why else people would be breeding them in California.

None of my whippets ever fetched, but Comet is OBSESSED with it. We think it may be because she’s still a puppy. But also, our rescue believes she came from people who are breeding them in the Central Valley to hunt small game, which is a similar idea to chasing down a ball and bringing it back.

I love the Uniqlo “Airism” scoop-neck shirts, although you can’t buy them right now because they’re out of season. For cooler weather, choose their long-sleeve Heatech shirts (which are in season now).

My #1 travel tip is to have 5-7 black shirts and 2 pairs of black pants, all thin, synthetic fabric that dries well on a clothesline in a hotel room, and that’s all you need. Maybe 1 skirt if you need a dressy outfit. Bring a few statement necklaces if you need to feel like you have style.
