I participated in the Olympia Spring Arts Walk Show this past week... here is a shot with me and "Hare Govinda!"
It was a great show, and a great excuse to visit my son at Evergreen. ❤️

I finished this up today...
"Ma Durga's Leela", 24x24 oil on canvas.

Durga is one of the major Devas in the Hindi religion, the mother goddess of all creation. The word "leela" is a Sanskrit word meaning 'divine play.' It's a concept symbolizing joy, spontaneity, the cosmic dance of creation.

This painting was completed in about 2.5 hours and is from today's NOPG live model painting session. Only Fred and I (and the model) showed up today. With all the rain, it was a good day to paint. 🙂

This was Oct 6th, the Camas plein air event put on by The RedDoor Gallery. It was gorgeous out and was so much fun! I painted the old Crown Zellerbach mill from a hilltop view. Artists all gather with their work at the end and were judged and shown to the public with a gallery open house event. ❤️

I have been inspired by soul expansion, Krishna Das' music, and learning about all things Eastern-based-spirituality.
I am happy with it, and really had some awesome flow going.
