A great way to know when a friend group is no longer for you is when they cannot name a single person of colour when they think of experts in an industry they to profess to be major fans of.

I’m just going to back away slowly; odds are they’ll mistake me for foliage and forget I was ever there. 👀

Less fun fact: many provincial governments are trying to call Arabic the language of terrorists again. All while anti-immigrant and racist dogwhistling is increasing all over the country.

Waiting for tour start, which means in about 20 minutes I get to figure out if this group of Americans will be cool, cruel, or seriously guilty.

I talk to so many people itching for war, expecting IRL Call of Duty in the streets. They don’t think about the screams of children, the smells and sounds of death, the reality of losing 10-20% of your friends…

Currently I think the idea people who want a civil war 2 have is a war they can turn off when they want to. They want to play call of duty irl for a few hours and then go home to their normal lives, with a house that has food and isn't in danger of being shelled. Not a real war.
