Thank you for all the new follows! I appreciate the love as I attempt to rebuild after fleeing the sinking u-boat that is Twitter. For anyone who doesn’t know me, I’m going to share a few of my favorite pieces of work. First, one on the horror themes of “Collateral” www.polygon.com/23006361/col...
Collateral made Tom Cruise into a slasher movie villain
Michael Mann’s gritty L.A. thriller inches close to the horror genre

Did you know that Hong Kong stunt performers got the idea to use cardboard boxes to break falls from... the French?! 😳 I did not.

I deeply appreciate that Gunn is so hands on with Peacemaker and Creature Commandos but these wait times while he goes and does a movie too have got me like …

Man, I get narratively why “Peacemaker” Season 2 ended where it did. But it’s frustrating to know that Chris’s fate and what that last moment means will not be revealed for around 2 years from now.

PREDATOR BADLANDS being PG-13 means not a whole lot when you remember the Bay TRANSFORMER films are also PG-13. You can get away with a helluva lot when you aren't killing people onscreen.

The MPAA, odd as ever.

So happy to see Bernhardt leading a film again. I interviewed him once and he was just the coolest. Extremely humble.

I will stand with you on that hill to defend all four.

…into seasons. And the PPVs are insanely cheaper. I ordered All Out *and* Wrestle Dream for less than HBO Max charged for just All Out by itself. It’s totally worth the 8 dollars a month and the 3 for the vpn

Nord VPN. Very reliable. Lots of places offer promo codes for it where you can get 30 months at around $3 a month, billed monthly. AEW+ on Triller is the way to go. Besides uncensored feeds w/no commercials. It has the complete Dynamite/Rampage/Collision/Dark Archive already neatly organized

This appears to be a Region B German blu of RICOCHET in, at long last, correct OAR. Thanks to @mattmccrac.bsky.social for the heads up. www.blu-ray.com/movies/Ricoc...

Agreed. I honestly don’t see the point in even doing it if Butler’s not young Chris.
wheelscritic.bsky.social
I thought the general consensus was Austin Butler had that role locked down? There was even footage of him doing firearms training that looked extremely “Heat”-esque.

He looks like he’s building a cosplay of modern day Robert Patrick.

CM Punk currently looks like Homer Simpson from that one episode where Homer built an entire pompadour, for himself, out of black shoe polish.

You aren’t missing much. Though “Elvis” is an interesting curiosity.

At this point no John Carpentar film is “underrated.” All the worthwhile ones have been thoroughly reappraised and reclaimed by a passionate and substantial fanbase. And those couple misfires? Collectively ignored in an almost hivemind-like unspoken unison.

I think anyone who is knowledgeable about both would probably agree. (What I’m saying is ‘me too.’)
