For the Showstopper,the bakers must create a spectacular, edible bread sculpture. The theme? "The animal kindom."

The tent is a flurry of activity. There are bread lions, bread bees, and one ambitious bread octopus. Paul is making his rounds, moving with the slow, deliberate grace of a deep-sea diver.

He stops at Norman’s station quickly. Norman, our lovable older baker, has made a "Bread Badger."

Paul: Talk me through your badger.

Norman:
Well,Paul, it’s a simple white dough, with a bit of rye for the stripes. He’s got poppy seed eyes.

(Paul leans down so he is eye-level with the unbaked bread badger.)

Paul: (to the badger):

There's a really strong human cognitive bias to need to have something disproven rather than just accepting that something wasn't proven. You can't prove that he didn't do anything but there's not a good case that he did from what's available

It's really interesting and also disappointing that the ceasefire term dominated the discussion of all of this whereas any sort of discussion of restraining Israel or a view of a path to a peace deal even from 10,000 ft was never part of the discussion. Israel wants to take as much land as it can

One interesting study I read when I was taking ecology is how much of the plant nutrition in riparian areas with salmon runs is from the salmon. There's a really complicated test involving radioactive isotopes but you can basically prove that the trees are made out of fish
