This same thing happened to me in the Exact. Same. Way. Thought I was going crazy with "this theme song doesn't sound quite right" but didn't clock it on the talking. To be fair, I mostly listen to comedy podcasts, so the speed and tone can be more varied depending on the bit.

I was really interested to learn about Japanese comedy (specifically rakugo) and how it's so different from Western comedy. How important context and language is. I love learning this kind of thing.
