The UK government hasn't ruled out weakening copyright law in low-regulation zones to benefit AI companies.

They say they "intend" IP rights to be a red line for these zones. But they are "seeking views" on this.

Which how much money they are breaking from the game, the company does not "need" this at all and it is a slap in the face for all of their artist who have been making their games. They can hire more artist than anyone out there. Are they not enough for your liking Mihoyo?

Anyway here's Mihoyo promoting AI assisted game production including:

"Efficiency in Image and Material Generation
With very few materials, they can generate character model sheets + 3D models, allowing for the testing of multiple designs and their artistic outcomes."
