Did you know: when you compare shopping carts side-by-side, people who use SNAP make similar choices to people who don't? And in states that participate in a HIP (Healthy Incentive Program), SNAP users add 1-2 more servings of fresh produce to daily meals? Solution is expansion not restriction.
The decision by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to approve six more waivers restricting what people can purchase with their SNAP benefits is a misguided move. Read FRAC's full statement here: frac.org/news/snapres...
