This could be Alaska's future. Home schooling isn't as fun when your kids are not able leave the house to attend any activities.

A bubbling measles outbreak in the upstate of South Carolina has forced 153 unvaccinated children out of the classroom and into quarantine for a minimum of 21 days.

In Minnesota, 118 students are also under quarantine in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.

This plan is to have the smallest class sizes possible at the expense of access for any child with needs.

This is going to end up with the EPA looking for gay frogs isn't it?

The EPA as abortion cops:
"Some said ... technology they had developed for testing wastewater could be used for surveillance [of use of abortion pills] in states where abortion is illegal. ... Wastewater testing could help identify a particular street or home where the pills were used." (gift link)

You have now given this topic more thought than the charter.

For school nurses their plan is to train staff as medical support staff instead of having actual school nurses.

"In place of a nurse, certain staff members would be trained as the designated medical support staff and be overseen by the district’s Nursing Services department."

It's how most private Christian schools manage to function.

Charter volunteer requirements are also being challenged by the Northern Justice Project. Maybe PSC thinks their "volunteer bank" is a way to sidestep this lawsuit.

Volunteer hours are a purposeful barrier.

The city of Kotzebue is under mandatory evacuation orders. That's as the community prepares for flooding the National Weather Service warns could be worse than last year's, which led to dozens of evacuations and two families losing their homes.

Ocean level on the NOAA tide gauge at Nome probably peaked with the early evening high tide. This is slightly higher than the October 2024 storm but well below Merbok in September 2022. #akwx #ExtermeWeather

He's also big into crypto. No surprise.
