Hub: “When baby was in Neonatal ICU [Jordan] what language did you & doctors speak?” (Son & wife speak French, English, Spanish & some Arabic.)

2/2 When gov. person called she actually sounded contrite (what government shutdown?). Helluva time to ask people to pay more, esp. 1000% more (!), but hub & I are confronting this calmly, factually (think Letitia James :). Doesn’t hurt hub’s a former trial lawyer.

1/2 Like others, we’re paying more for food, insurance premiums & electric bills.

And like others we got PPP loan during pandemic. But unlike many, inc. some in Congress (ahem), ours was not forgiven. We’ve been paying monthly but gov wants to increase payments by 1000%. Yes, 1000% each month...

Years ago, bought a banned books bracelet at writers conference where I was speaking (hub was w/ me, we were dating at time). Met a girl who *loved* books so I gave it to her. Hope she wore it for a long time, maybe still does? 📚
