Today’s my birthday. We’re working ‘cause we got cases going to trial, but hey, still gonna make time for some fun.

A favorite quote by Lucille Ball. One thing that’s gonna make me happy today is Chantilly Cake 🎂🥳🎉

Love this. She doesn’t back down, goes toe-to-toe with Bolsonaro (who attempted a coup…hmmm, sounds familiar), then she ends video with a big ol’ smile front of the prison 😂👍
Good morning to Brazilian reporter Manuela Borges, who’s been waiting eleven years for this petty moment. ❤️ 🇧🇷

1/2 Today we realized Amazon Prime continued to auto withdraw $16.19/mo despite hub terminating this charge, via Amazon's instructions, months ago. (Along w/ many of you, we’re also part of class action suit.)

To fix problem once & for all, we instructed bank to block Amazon's auto withdrawals.

Our Denver meteorologist is interrupting his vacation to send us weather updates while lounging poolside somewhere in Shangri-La 😂🌴
Denver’s first snow of the season looks likely (finally) somewhere in the Friday night-Sunday time window, along with a notable winter chill next weekend.

Some quick poolside thoughts…

Had no idea the US national ice core facility (NSF-ICF) was a few minutes from where we live. Just asked hub, he didn’t know about it, either. Obviously we haven’t been paying attention.

Fascinating.
Two miles of ice core on the shelf at our national ice core facility in Lakewood, Colorado. The WAIS Divide core from West Antarctica is a 3400m long (deepest US core, 2nd deepest ice core ever) 68,000 year old record of high resolution climate.

I wanted to do a tribute illustration to honor the life of Jimmy Cliff, who passed away today. One of the pioneer reggae performers, Jimmy also was an actor and became an icon.

My departed mother-in-law, who graduated as a nurse in 1950s (photo from her graduation) & worked as nurse, chief surgical nurse, & director of nursing for next 45 years, would fiercely agree.

Girlfriend sent me this tshirt for my birthday (Wednesday). She lives in Portland & I worried about her & everyone during those hideous ICE protests, like the brave soul in that frog costume who walked up to ICE & did that little dance (ICE stepped back!).

So this t-shirt is especially meaningful 🐸

A favorite walk is around a lake that's home to a lot of Canada Geese (pic shows about 1/2 the group). They’re known to be notoriously aggressive, but they’re pretty chill at this spot.

Denver recently obtained complimentary Flock drone after mayor extended city’s stationary Flock system. Now this report (attached) that it's “incredibly easy” to hack & manipulate Flock data. A defense lawyer’s dream.

Btw, here’s an interactive, crowd-sourced Flock map: deflock.me/map#map=5/39...
Aurora Police are adding Flock surveillance drones to their Flock surveillance street cameras as researchers say Flock's system is incredibly easy to hack and manipulate. @spencersoicher.bsky.social reports: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Vsc...

Aaron Gordon last night at vet’s, probably thinking, “Okay, they know I ate the razor head, but pretty sure they don’t know who chewed off the doorbell."

(Found the doorbell buried in his bed while looking for razor remnants)

Last night Aaron Gordon (front) ate razor head off hub’s disposable razor 😱 AG REFUSED to get in car. W/ great effort we finally got him in.

X-ray diagnosis: feed AG double, it’ll go through him fine.

Female tech easily picked AG up & put him in car. AG was a pussycat.

Left gift on neighbors' porch last night. Today they said their guest, a man, showed up later, picked up gift & handed it to them. Opening it, they explained who I was & man said, “I know her! We did comedy together 30 years ago!” 😮

Reunion in works! We’ll remember times we bombed 😂

(I need to continue reading his book "Dreyer’s English: An Utterly Correct Guide to Clarity and Style.” Yeah, you learn all about grammar & style & all those things, but It’s also just fun to read. He was copy chief at Random House for years, btw.)
perhaps there's a global shortage of commas, I dunno

Lunch here today. People from all walks of life, young to old (fear I’m close to latter :). Love DOs & DON’Ts, especially “Don’t ask us to turn down the music, we’re rowdy”

Currently having coat & blanket drive (donate, get 15% off bill). Places like this remind me we’re all in this together 👍

Colorado Representative Jason Crow. Former Army Ranger, three tours of duty in Afghanistan &Iraq, Bronze Star recipient, lawyer, refused to leave House Chambers on Jan 6 (armed only with a pen) until everyone had been evacuated to safety. Hero.
damn -- Jason Crow demolished Martha MacCallum to the point where she had to get extremely defensive before wrapping up the interview

In nearby town for work & dropped by Middle Eastern market. Found items that were 1/3 to 1/2 less than our local Safeway (feta cheese -$2.50, olive oil -$3 and -$4, celery $1.29 compared to $4.00 at Safeway, etc.).

Didn’t have some things we usually buy, but good deals otherwise. #groceryprices
U.S. grocery prices have hit a record high — the monthly cost for a family of four is now $1,030.
