But at the same time, they simply cannot help themselves from sticking the boot in, as it’s beyond them to offer trans people any shred of humanity or dignity in the midst of a vicious transphobic crusade they’re still trying to pass off to Joe Public as “respectful debate”

The GC movement depends on positioning itself as the “reasonable” voice in the debate on trans rights, as perceived by the average person (as in, those who are generally ignorant of the issue and are un-engaged). They’ll moderate their language accordingly, disguise it with “just asking questions”

This has become a weapon of choice of the GC movement. So long as it is accompanied by a generous helping of “plausible deniability”, they will waste no opportunity to malign, denigrate and dehumanise trans people in every conceivable way. Language matters and they know it

I don’t wish to bestow Glinner with the presumption of intelligence that he likely doesn’t have, but if true, it shows just how deliberate and rabidly obsessive his dehumanisation of trans people really is.

The question I keep asking myself lately is, what meaningful improvement has a year of Labour govt made to my life vs what I could have expected to see under the Tories? The answer is none - If anything they’re actively making it worse, and at a rate even my Labour scepticism couldn’t have predicted
