The perfect forecast for your afternoon/evening plans.
Briefly warming up for Monday and Tuesday as another breezy, but mainly dry, system will bring us a reinforcing shot of cooler air. How cool? Well, things could get a bit frosty at times overnight midweek.
Wall-o-rain (and wind) working into BG now:
Nothing hits like sliding into the first hoodie/sweatpant combo of the season.
It’ll feel like a well-earned reward after surviving today’s leaf-blastin', hair-tanglin', tree-swayin', powerline-wabblin' wind show. 🌬️🍂💨
Tonight, lows are expected to dip into the upper 30s...an ideal environment for hot cocoa, fuzzy socks, and having a second-guess about your fall wardrobe choices. But don’t worry, sunshine attempts to make a triumphant return Monday, bringing highs back into the mid and upper 60s.
High temps? Yeah, we probably already hit those. It’s all downhill from here as the mercury slides through the day.
Northwest winds today will be ferocious, clocking 30–40+ mph. We already have a Wind Advisory in place. If your trash can goes missing, check in with the next-closest county downwind. Real talk...we've had some locations receive 1-1.5" of rain. Wet grounds could contribute to a few downed trees.
Our well-advertised cold front is yeet-in' itself through the region on this Sunday morning, and it'll leave behind a-mess-a low clouds, scattered showers, and winds strong enough to carry a redneck's sailboat the length of the mighty Green River.
Hold onto your biscuits, WABBLES, and put the leftover gravy in a secure container with a lid!
12:12a - General weakening trend continues. Could there be a pocket of some brief heavier gusts? Sure. Will we get some rain we so desperately need? Absolutely.

I think this trend holds through the overnight, tbh
11:57p - Most favorable corridor for strong wind gusts will push out of Butler County shortly. Many of you will see some rain and wind gusts perhaps up to 30mph, but seems just not enough fuel for a more widespread threat.
11:42p - Storms starting to lose a bit of punch as they move east now. Most favorable corridor for strong winds right now looks to be up through Central Butler County.
11:23p - Most favorable area to see wind gusts try to sneak up to severe limits (58+ MPH) looks to be northwestern Logan and into southern Butler Counties
11:14p - Statement now out for Butler and Logan Counties as this line segment approaches. Winds up to 55mph possible. Wouldn’t be shocked to see a severe T’storm warning come out either.
10:55p - Storms deciding to get a touch friskier as they approach our western border. Severe T’storm Warnings just west for some 60mph gusts. Keeping an eye as these march toward Logan Co.
8:49p - Strong storms continue to close in on the region from the west. NWS notes potential for these to produce 40 mph winds.
Line of storms currently not-very- impressive as it enters far west KY. Still gonna be hella-windy.

Will continue to monitor/track/babysit/watch/patrol/warden/etc. radar.
A Wind Advisory is out for the entirety of WABBLES beginning at midnight, lasting thru 8am Sunday.

Wind gusts of up to 40-50 mph will be possible during this time.
As always, stay locked-in to our outlets for any updates. Tonight, should any severe weather threaten the area, we'll be LIVE, per usual.
So enjoy today’s fake summer while it lasts, because by Sunday afternoon, you’ll be sipping coffee in a blanket fortress wondering how we went from beach vibes to “bring me soup” in less than 12 hours.
Scattered showers will linger, because why not make it extra gloomy while you question your life choices in shorts and a hoodie?
