i dunno enough about their contract situations to say if it’s time to blow it up or not, but this Phillies core from the last few years was so strange. good-to-great hitters up and down the lineup, all of whom became useless overnight midway through the 2023 NLCS and never recovered

i don’t mean to make this a “woe is me” thing, i realize my job is mostly fake and it’s a privilege to have it, but it’s not just a fun free-for-all where i can do whatever i want whenever i want either

and in my specific situation, my actual job i have to prioritize is writing about phones and other consumer tech. i can only cover games when i have time, which i’ve hopefully done a good job of illustrating is more scarce than i’d like it to be
