It was the most effective argument against them that I've seen and it clearly got under Orangensoft's skin. He revels in being called "dangerous." He has no good response to being called "weird." The danger in letting a weirdo run things is obvious and never needed to be the focus.

This does not matter until it is seen on CNN and that won't happen until the demand to see it on CNN outweighs CNN's concerns that the regime will strip its license.

The only way for that to happen is for every Dem politician to point it out every time they are in front of a camera.

Not sure I agree. It definitely ships have been front and center but people know he's a nut job. They just think he's a nut job who will burn the whole thing down. That's his appeal.

Being able to appeal to the desire for fundamental change is needed. It can't all be calling him crazy.

Every one of these hearings needs to be followed by a concerted effort by every Dem politician going on every news show they can and standing in front of every microphone they can find and asking if the media is going to report this. This doesn't exist outside of C-SPAN which nobody watches.

Go see how it is playing on CNN. They've mastered Rorschach headlines. We can see what we want, but to the uninformed this is all part of what they assume is a normal rally of generals that sounded tough. The only way to counter that is for every Dem to be in front of a camera right now. They aren't

Dems should start talking about how he made the White House look like a gold plated pimpmobile. Don is about to shut down the government and you know he won't be able to resist defending how amazing all his gold is if he gets pushed on it. The more he tweets about his gold in a crisis the better.

We have to accept that nothing matters unless it is reported. It doesn't matter what tariffs will do or what societal standards are ignored if it isn't reported as such. The public will believe Fox.

It is pointless to pressure Congresspersons. Pressure the media and Congress will follow.

I think at this point there is more value in declaring what that means rather than asking for the release of files and inferring what that means.

Eventually they'll release a sanitized version and declare it was always nothing. It will be the Mueller report all over again.

Which is why we'll never know. The push to release the Epstein files is absurd. Does anyone think that people who will rape children on a private island won't destroy records? Why does anyone assume they haven't already done so? This quest is a waste of time.

In many ways it's the wrong question. Sane people realize it's him but unless someone has video of him signing it he can always sow doubt.

But who cares? The plane trips, the testimony, the photo with the check, the card. He was in bed with a criminal pedophile. That's the big picture.

Probably so. Can that be changed? At minimum, any time Rs get press they don't like they all throw a tantrum, claim there is bias, and push back. Dems never really do the same. Most media outlets still want to appear unbiased. A coordinated pushing back might at least make the media more cautious.

Yet somehow, despite literally failing at everything he's ever tried (with the possible exception of game show host) the 2024 polls consistently showed folks thought he'd be better on the economy.

If we can figure out how to fix that we'll never lose another election.

It's amazing that Dems are so bad at running on exactly this. They run on personality, e.g. Trump is racist or G.W. Bush is dumb. It makes no sense when "Every time you let these idiots have control they torch the economy" is right there. People vote R because they think they're the "business" guys.
