I know they’re white but this is a level of whiteness I had previously not encountered before. Fascinating but not surprising (“British people”).

After I started making my own sketchbooks again I am now thinking “what if I hand bind and sell sketchbooks with my designs for the cover” SOOOOO THIS IS MY LIFE NOW

also learning about flow state has been one of the reasons I really firmly believe "yes art is meant for me." I've tried many things and hobbies and there are many I can get into flow with/enjoy, but nothing comes as close as it does with drawing.

hatred many/most artists struggle with and its kind of like a TV static in peoples heads. The flow state comes when one is able to tune out the static to access their creativity channel. And many times that has to be thru therapy/meditation/meds etc. I love talking about this topic a lot haha

Flow is one of my fav books and one of the only self improvement books I recommend ppl! and yes same here. If I stop drawing for 3 days I get pretty down. I think the more skilled a person becomes at a craft the easier it becomes to access the flow. I keep thinking about the negativity and self

Same I just saw one where someone made an adorable fursuit of a sea slug....... theyre really making fursonas out of creatures that have never been sonafied before I love it......

Just looking at a thread of Chinese fursuits I am so proud of my people’s advancement in fursuit crafting and furry culture . I have a bit of nationalistic pride over this <—- (hasn’t been back since 2013 and forgot almost all Chinese)

For some people drawing is just a means to an end (to tell a story)…. Perhaps this is why I’ve never really cared to work nonstop on an original story, I like to make lines come together but I don’t care too much about anything else. So maybe I need to work with more writers!

I really like making lines and feeling the satisfaction of making good lines and to see a depiction of a thing, a picture that I made that’s well drawn… so I thought “well why become an illustrator if you don’t like drawing” I almost thought ppl became artists only because of a drawing obsession..

Recently talked to a few ppl (pro artists and students) who said they don’t really like drawing/they like other aspects of the art process better and it blew my mind… and then I thought about it and I realized yea, drawing is like nail biting for me, it’s an obsessive thing that I do compulsively..
