Yokoyama: “When I saw the story for [Ryuji’s RGGO event], I even said to [Kazunobu] Takeuchi, ‘Couldn’t this be Yakuza 0-2?’ […] Mine’s event was the same. It was so well-done I just felt like, ‘Are we really only releasing this [in RGGO]?’ […] Takeuchi is intimately familiar with the story of Yakuza, so I think he’s the best there is at writing spin-off episodes for past Yakuza characters.
