A bit of silliness from 2021.

Kong's first line is taken directly from the 2007 BBC adaptation of Elizabeth Gaskell's Cranford.
Single-panel comic drawn in brown pencil. Godzilla and King Kong sit facing each other on mounds of rocks, taking tea, with an elegant tea set on the ground between them.
Kong: 'What is all this agitation? Are the summer gloves come in?'
Godzilla, waving an unfolded letter with a ribbon and sealing wax: 'Why, an invitation, to be sure! To Mothra's garden party!'
Kong: *Gasp!*

When reconstructing an critterthis poorly known, I tend to go for a more conservative appearance, taking into account relatives from similar times/places. Unfortunately, footprints are incredibly difficult to assign, and ornithopod footprints aren't dissimilar from theropod ones.
Size comparison between an indeterminate iguanodontian, Alanqa, Spinosaurus, an indeterminate titanosaur, Afrotapejara, Carcharodontosaurus, Apatorhamphus, Deltadromeus, Leptostomia, an indeterminate abelisaur, an indeterminate dromaeosaur, Axelrodichthys and myself.

Please welcome Cariocecus bocagei! A new, basal hadrosauroid from the early Cret. of Portugal! This guy is known from a pretty nice skull, which makes it one of the best ornithopod fossils from Iberia so far! I loved during this little portrait for main author Filippo Bertozzo...

I once posed the question on the other place, "What, for you, is a 'typical' bird?"

The sparrow was the most common answer. It was mine, too. I see them less often these days in London, but they were in overwhelming abundance in my childhood in Chiang Mai.
Detail from a watercolour in progress of the head and part of the torso of a house sparrow.

Ok… so the cat is out of the bag and I can FINALLY start talking about this. I just confirmed with Tim I can say that I did a lot of concept art, like this baby Spinosaurus, for the new docuseries #SurvivingEarth coming out in 2026!

So excited for you guys to see this!

Shri rapax is the second member of the genus Shri and it is characterized by a shorter skull and robust hands with very powerful claws, especially that of the pollex (much larger than those previously known from other dromaeosaurs)

Pied Peahen & Peonies
Gouache & acrylic gouache on MDF coaster, 98 mm.

This piece ended up taking a long time for what was supposed to be relatively ‘simple.’ 😅

The peahen’s neck is actually more teal-blue-green, but neither my phone camera nor my scanner were equal to capturing this.

1/4
Painting on a golden-hued, buff toned square coaster of a pied peahen amid pink peonies. The peahen is mostly brown with barred feathers but has a blue-green neck, and, in common with pied coloration, has patches of white feathers interspersed throughout. She is in profile, facing left. The piece is lightly stylised with generally flat colours and fine detailing on the feather markings.
