I think most people expect USD, so essentially US and other international commissioners see they’re paying less or average for something while after conversion we get more than expected in Aus. At least that’s how it’s worked for me + commissioners😅

Basing on US average cost means it looks cheaper to US audience, especially at a quick glance where they may not notice AUD. If using PayPal, it can do the conversion for you and the extra you get from the conversion rates helps cover and seller fees you may have. (2/3)

Hiya! I’m Aussie and charge USD! I think it’s down to preference but generally when I price things I find it easier to base it on average cost of commissions in US. Not only is the conversion rate stronger, but a large portion of the art community is US based. (1/?)
