Only assets in the Medicaid recipient’s estate can be claimed for repayment by Medicaid. The family usually administers the estate, so they receive the letter, aren’t personally responsible. This is not new. This looks like an article meant to present Medicaid in a bad light to justify gutting it.

Umm, the first crash in sixteen years, caused by a military helicopter colliding with a domestic airliner, occurred a week after the president’s appointment of a falling down drunk to run the military (DOD) and the firing of the FAA administrator and the aviation safety advisory board. Coincidence?
