When you start doing your homework, it really is astounding how literally every single bad and annoying thing you have to deal with living in the States always comes back to being rooted in racism. Like, Home Owner's Associations? Thank Racism. Traffic jams on the highway? That's from Racism too!

Our society is built upon systematic trauma inflicted on every single individual and a sizeable portion of the population protects that system as a coping mechanism. Convincing themselves that the damage they suffered was good and necessary. Once you realize that, a lot of things start making sense.
