First time I saw Hornsby live was when he was in the Grateful Dead back in ‘91. Was a fan before that. Seen him many times over the years. For a long time he had a rule, “no yelling out songs. Send up a note”. His piano would be covered with scraps of paper, look through them, “We know this!”

I’m old enough to remember when the Right thought the Republic would fall, when back in 90’s, Oberlin College put in place a “speech code” that consenting adults “needed” to let their partner know what they wanted to do during their amorous encounter & required consent.

I remember first learning about Christian Identity back in the 80’s after the Alan Berg murder, then read The Turner Diaries in the 90’s. Have read The Family. Now it’s the 7 Mountain Mandate. Christian Nationalism has always been on the fringes, now it’s the dominant gene in the Republican Party

We’ve been down this road before. I remember when Larry Flynt (Hustler Mag) threatened a bunch of Republicans in the late 90’s with dirt during the Clinton Impeachment. I remember him having info on one Congressman had an affair. The “goods” are never as tasty as promised.

As a NYC resident, I do hope city government & @governor.ny.gov are seriously looking into how we can stop our tax dollars from going to Washington. We’re a net provider of revenue. If Trump wants to “cut our funding”, then we should keep what we already have.
