Personally, I think if Democrats want to win elections, they should stop welcoming immigrant caravans of millions, stop trying to force grade-school sex changes, and stop collapsing the economy. Oh, they didn’t do those things?? WELL MAYBE THE INFO ENVIRONMENT IS BROKEN AND YOU SHOULD FIX THAT

If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it.
Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice.
But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word.

A lot of people have sort of cottoned on to the fact that media environment has something to do with Trump's strength, but aren't really understanding how. The key consequence of the endless fragmentation of media has been to allow people to indulge in whatever facts feel easiest and most agreeable.

Dems beat Trump by a lot more in 2020 than he beat us in 2024, and the GOP didn't hand-wring about the need to find common ground with us. They treated us like enemies of the entire country and a critical mass of voters were convinced. "We need to compromise and accommodate" is not the lesson here.
