I think it boils down to the new players not being given a consistent run of games to gel
together

Not quite the same as Nunez always had lots of chance but rarely scored them, whereas now our strikers are anonymous

Something is not right - Slot needs to sort out the system as 2 of the best strikers in the world in Ekitike & Isak are just not getting the ball in dangerous positions; both have proven goal scoring/finishing ability yet are anonymous when they are on the pitch; it’s very odd!

For all Liverpool fans that don’t get it & are knobheads let’s make it simple: we won the league last season; this is the transition season, not last season - we have bought half of a new team all at the same time; Diogo Jota’s death has had a massive impact on our players 🤷‍♂️

Exactly- I remember when I found out and I was devastated although I had never even met Diogo so god knows how the players must be feeling; grief apparently follows certain stages but they vary in length and intensity so anything could be going on inside their heads

I said to the wife before start of the season that Liverpool’s PL season will depend on how many points we have dropped by 2nd international break due to number of new players we have & CL would be our trophy to fight for this season; so a positive is that we are only a point from top 👍

So Liverpool clear at the top of the league - not playing particularly well, new players not quite bedded in yet, international breaks not helping, not even played Isak yet - scary for everyone else when it does all come together!

Man Utd where they belong - in the bottom half of the table; they spent most of last season there and I can’t see them getting into the top half any time soon, if at all. If they don’t sack Amorim and get Nuno they are mad! Hope they don’t by the way 😆

It has to be served within 15 days of the previous season ending not simply a 15 day period just because he hasn’t played 🤷‍♂️ - so that would mean within 15 days of this current season ending ie June 2026, because it is too late for “last season” now!

I said months ago I think Liverpool will win CL this season & not the league largely due to large personnel change & we might drop too many points before it all gels - it will though eventually & then Liverpool will be the best team in Europe let alone the PL; title might be for next season though
