Enjoy some photos of Philadelphia's Boiler Parts & Systems class during its field trip to the beautiful Sayre High School boiler room. 32BJ students were able to witness daily operations--including building safety checks, testing the emergency generator, oil readings, troubleshooting, and more.

The High School Equivalency course has helped many 32BJ members earn an important credential. Today, we are pleased to recognize our student Martin Estrada, originally from Mexico, who completed all four exams and was able to obtain this certification in the State of New Jersey. Congratulations!

As we begin 2026, we would like to share the impressive story of Luis Ramos. Luis started as a 32BJ member who took some courses at the Training Fund 17 years ago. He has since undergone an evolution that is indicative of how the TF can help members achieve their personal version of success.

Students went over a cast iron section steam boiler, and covered the major components and operations and daily responsibilities of a Group 4 Building Engineer, and the logs that person must be complete. (2/4)
