This Saturday, we joined the March for Palestine in Auckland. While the media reported 20,000 attendees, those of us on the ground witnessed what felt like double that number, creating a powerful and peaceful demonstration of solidarity.

We know that the forces that enable a few to grow obscenely rich by wrecking the planet are the same forces that are displacing and oppressing the human rights of Palestinians. Plus, the climate impact of Israel’s war on Gaza is greater than the emissions from over a hundred countries.

...we strongly recommend that any policies or moves of this sort are embedded and integrated in a long-term energy strategy. 🔑 One of the reasons we are in this mess is due to successive governments failing to do long-term planning that prioritises people over profit.
