I should probably also clarify that not only is this a post game level (so you won’t even run into it in the main game), but this is an extra star I got for completion sake. The normal star for this level isn’t nearly as sadistic.

Sigh. The Galaxy games are both super fun Mario adventures. Yes, there are motion control levels, but only a small amount. Most levels have normal controls. And those are AMAZING.

No. Most of the levels for both games are not strictly motion control based. They are normal Mario levels. And really REALLY fun levels too.

I will say that the motion control levels are the minority in terms of level types. Most of the levels for both games are normal Mario action.

And also these are extra stars I’m getting for completion. The normal star isn’t nearly as sadistic.

It looks easy, but remember: this is one of the strictly motion control based levels. And they want precise platforming for this.
