And so they should.

(And they’re not the only ‘Gen’ that feels that way)

It’s time for a 4-day week. ⏰

Every Winter we end up spending so much of our free time in the dark.

It’s time to reclaim the light.

It’s time for a 4-day week. ⏰

Education Secretary Jenny Gilruth said her government has a "clear commitment to supporting teachers and improving education in Scotland".

It’s time for the rest of the UK to show the same commitment.

It’s time to explore a 4-day week in schools.

According to this Guardian report the UK has, “quietly launched the four day week.”

Great!

Now it’s time to make things loud.

If we want a 4-day week for all, it needs to be codified in contracts, not done on the sly.

Benefitting from Soft Fridays? Time to make it official.

I'm all for this. A good work/life balance should not be purely the reserve of the wealthy. No-one should miss out on spending time with loved ones or doing things they enjoy just to pay the bills. Life is for living!

Teachers are burnt out and leaving the profession in droves.

The status quo isn’t working. It’s time to try something that might.

Congratulations to Kickstarter workers for securing their 4-day week! 🙌

This, in addition to winning protections against the use of AI to replace them, means these workers have successfully future-proofed their roles.

Question is: does your role need future-proofing too? 🤔

Chronic stress, burnout, anxiety, a lowered immune system…

The 5-day working week is a danger to your health. ☠️

Good to see The Telegraph laying out their *ahem* 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦 alternative 🙄 to a 4-day week.

Time is the most valuable resource we have. We sell it far too cheaply.

It’s time to change that.

A 4-day week for all would strengthen families, communities, and the economy.

There is a sickness crisis - but luckily, we have a proven solution.

One that:

- Reduces absences
- Improves health
- Allows more to work full time

That’s the 4-day week.

If the Government is serious about tackling the crisis, they need to get serious about the 4-day week.

“The old system isn’t working, so we need to be open to new approaches, supported by evidence and realism.”

The 4-day week isn’t just an idea for the future - it’s already delivering results today.

This is interesting!

We need more exploration of a shorter working week in education.

“Teachers reported improved wellbeing, more free time and financial savings, though some felt overwhelmed.

Meanwhile pupils were largely unaffected and some benefited.”

Pilot after pilot has shown that shorter working weeks can improve productivity, retain staff and improve people's quality of life.

Councils successfully shifting to a successful four-day work week should be celebrated, not criticised.

I have met Brighton businesses who have very successfully switched to a four-day week.

Productivity, morale, staff retention are all up.

Exciting research from Sussex University has shown it to be brain-altering! Positively changing anxiety, depression, stress and sleep quality.

At Care Full we support the four-day week for its potential benefits to unpaid carers. The government needs to catch up. The evidence points to too many positives to ignore.

Sometimes it seems like this government is actively seeking ways to be unpopular.

South Cambridgeshire’s 4-day week:

- Saves them £370,000 a year
- Improves productivity in key areas
- Boosts health and wellbeing of staff

And yet they seek to undermine it by leaking letters to the Telegraph.

The 5-day week was built for a world that no longer exists.

We have the technology, the data, and the evidence to work smarter, instead of longer.
