Worse, this is an illegitimate & unconstitutional administration per 14.3, dismantling the government, & giving aid to enemies. The Constitution is clear.
Why do we still treat him & his EOs like they're legitimate?
We the people are sovereign. The govt is OUR agent & must abide by Constitution.
Nothing that comes from this administration can be trusted...and are likely lies. I operate under the assumption they are all lies unless proven otherwise.
Good bet they're so incompetent they can't even keep their lies straight.
Unfortunately, all major voting machine companies donate to the GOP. We need paper ballots. Then, hand counting OR a robust, uniform procedure for binding risk-limited audits (multiple checkpoints by multiple independent sources) w/clear scientifically sound threshold to trigger hand counting.
If I were a Trump sycophant, I would worry about backing an adjudicated insurrectionist, constitutionally barred from holding office via 14.3 unless amnesty is granted by 2/3 congress.
In other words, there's a good argument that Trump is an illegitimate president & thus pardons are null & void.
We need to go back to hand counting, then. All voting machine companies have right wing ties (big donors to GOP) and are suspect. Not sure why we allow partisan owners to supply these machines when tabulation by these machines is so opaque.
👀"NOTUS attempted to trace the money appropriated for more than 100 government programs to understand where taxpayer dollars are going, only to hit dead ends...agencies have been vague in their explanations, and...there’s no publicly available evidence that appropriated money is being spent at all."
This is coming from the Yarvin camp. Ultimately, what they describe is a "benevolent" dictatorship, one that is pro-business (pro-people is better). But what they fail to understand is that autocratic tendencies & "benevolence" are usu. mutually exclusive. Think G. Washington refusing to be king.
That stood out to me too & I've heard similar. It means they know their policies (i.e. P2025) are unpopular & that they can only win by hook & by crook (lying - disavowing P2025, bribes, threats, intimidation, voter suppression, gerrymandering, Musk "manipulation," etc.). A pact w/the devil.
Where I think this becomes especially important is when there is consensus whether certain military orders are illegitimate and can be disobeyed. We seem to be teetering on that precipice. As well, one way a government's power may dissipate is when it no longer has command of the military.
Right. An illegitimate president would not have immunity and pardons would also not be valid.
He is illegitimate on plain reading of 14.3. Regardless, if he is not abiding by the Constitution, why should he receive the powers and protections of that venerable document?
