Studying film in Uni isn’t as easy as it sounds when your professor is determined to hold you back. At first it seems like a petty vendetta, but Oscar soon realises he has a fate worse than F’s.

At heart, Oscar is a fundamentally good person. The death of his mum has left him stagnating, but being thrown into adventures with the Doctor forces him to start seeing the good in life again. Whilst he doesn’t always understand what’s going on, he always wants to help. And yeah, travelling with the Doctor might be dangerous—but he’s got nothing left to lose.

In the far future, the Doctor has seen more death than ever before. Anyone he’s ever cared about is long gone, including the one constant in his life: the Master. He copes with a mask of grumpiness, but beneath the surface hides a terrible secret that isn’t as easy to run from as he believes.

When he finds himself adopting a companion for the first time in this regeneration, he’s determined to protect him—even if that means protecting him from himself.

And we’ve been re-designing our website to match—now with added music! 🎶

The QUAD is a home of the arts, providing courses and having artwork on display. This zine is about “hearing the music”, and how important that is in bonding and finding yourself. We wanted to support somewhere that follows that theme!

Derby QUAD provides a safe space for neurodivergent people to engage with and make art, and that’s something close to our hearts.

…hosting conventions in an accessible way, but right now it’s in danger of closing. The lack of funding for the arts in the UK means that more grassroots venues than ever are shutting for good. We wanted to do all we can to keep this space for the Doctor Who community alive!
