I miss the days of the late 90s/early 2000s going to a Fry’s (or Incredible Universe!) or Electronics Boutique, and browsing those (huge) PC game boxes with box art I thought looked so cool but never got to play. They were like windows into other worlds.

Simpler times. I’m old.

I can see how they seem similar, though it’s set in real historical locations & events, no fantasy. Lots of “realistic” systems like NPC AI, potion-making, resting/needing to sleep, “slow” combat etc. Can get pretty involved. But I love the characters and story the most. Lots of fun & unique quests.

Would’ve included Final Fantasy Tactics but it’s just a remaster of one of my favorite games so that felt like cheating 😝
