The RPi is running a custom program I wrote using @ricardoquesada.bsky.social's bluepad32 to handle the Bluetooth and game controller link, then feeds the button presses over the Photo! link protocol.

This is a feature of the Photo! ROM github.com/untoxa/gb-ph.... It accepts commands over the link port from another device running the Photo! Remote ROM (or in this case from an RPi)

I built a remote-controllable Game Boy Camera selfie stick / tripod. The game controller transmits over Bluetooth to a Pico 2W that's tucked away in the holder and sends commands to the game over the link port.
