I keep telling him Id like to get back to work. he tells me about his youtube channel. he spills his drink. he gets a refill. he tells me goodbye three times and mournfully tells me “good will win in the end”. finally he leaves a big tip and steals the glass he was drinking out of (????¿¿¿)

he lists all his personal conspiracy theories for me. I have a big family and I teach so I am used to active listening, which only encourages him. all his theories connect back to caves. I have a hand visibly cupped around my ear to hear him because “tell it to my heart” is playing at 600 decibels

let me paint you a picture. im having a drink and working on my laptop b4 I take the train home. an older man comes up to me and starts talking unprovoked (something that happens to me a lot for whatever reason). I like meeting new ppl so I listen. his first full sentence is about underground caves
