Happy #InternationalDayforBiologicalDiversity! My upcoming #MGLit novel (that I can't shout about quite yet...) features this important topic of protecting species diversity and balanced ecosystems. 💚
garden with goldenrod on left and right, blue New England asters (that are actually purple) in front, and black-eyed Susans in the middle; photo taken in late summer

Love this haiku, Beth! Interesting! I have a print of his The Beasts of the Sea on my wall. I like his style.

Thanks, Beth! There were leaves falling in my periphery while I worked in the garden, and then one leaf moved differently and I realized it wasn't a leaf! And it made the day better. 😊

Leaves fall from dull skies.
Fluttering breeze stills, nudges,
"Look. Find autumn's wings."

Yes, I couldn't put it down. 😊 Oh, that pumpkin patch...I just knew something was going to happen! So well done.

I think the author/illustrator team Veronica Agarwal and Lee Durfey-Lavoie who created the graphic novel JUST ROLL WITH IT (anxiety/OCD rep) live in NYC. (I know there isn't consensus about whether anxiety or OCD should be included under the neurodivergence umbrella, but...I think they should be.)

SCATTERGOOD by @hmbouwman.bsky.social is one of the best books I've read this year! Such an authentic and nuanced discussion about the existential questions that I suspect many of us share. Lovely cover art by Angie Kang. Thanks for the recommendation, @pollyf.bsky.social!
#kidlit upper #MGlit 📚👍
cover of SCATTERGOOD has a light orange (as if sunset) background; the top left corner is a chess board pattern and these squares morph into a flock of birds in flight as they continue down the page; the bottom shows a girl in a blue dress walking to the left on a lane towards a large building with a few lights on inside; there are trees/bushes on the sides of the building; the book title and author are above the building

Of course! I love it! 😊

Squash from the garden heading to storytime today to read SOPHIE'S SQUASH by @patzmiller.bsky.social and Anne Wilsdorf. This is going to be so fun! 😊 #kidlit #library
about 15 pumpkins and squash on the floor in front of light wooden cabinet doors; floor is black on the right and neutral/earth tone rug on the left; some pumpkins are tall, some are short, some are partially green, some have dark orange vertical stripes cover of SOPHIE'S SQUASH shows a young girl with a squash under a tree with fall leaves; the squash has a face; picture is taken of the book in my hand above a white table

Thanks, Jo! I'm never ready for fall, but fall at the beach isn't so bad. 😆
