Reason no. 1m why I'll avoid United: Newark Fucking Airport. Come in from an international flight, recheck your bags, & "connections" dumps you back outside TSA with all the other fliers just arriving. United, I'm sorry but as a frequent traveler, that experience will make me not fly your airline.

I'm out of the country watching the hateful, awful, heartbreaking, bullshit from afar.

I felt a huge grief after the election & with this, it's like having that deep wound gleefully reopened repeatedly. This is trauma on a daily, mass scale. Set your media consumption boundaries. Esp social.

Today in Tesla stupidity: Some woman had trouble with her (moronic) Cybertruck and street parked it with flashers on when there's a dealer about a block away. The dealer sent out a GAS-POWERED golf cart to pick her up...and deliver a wheel to the truck, to limp it to the dealer. Way to go, Elon...

If you're working through the rubble or near recently burned areas, please, please, please, please, please, wear PPE. N95 or higher masks, clothing and shoe covers, etc. Don't track this stuff into wherever you're staying, your car, etc. I covered 9-11, and this stuff is SO toxic.

Just had a sample of the Eaton Fire ash that is in my driveway run on the department XRF. Is there titanium (new house paint)? Yup. Lead (old house paint)? You betcha. Heavy metals? Check. Treat that ash like it's toxic folks (because it is)
