Ep 3 is my second favorite episode due to all the horror elements that were introduced with the appearance of Knives + the sudden tone shift after the first two eps. I especially loved the moment when Vash follows the bloodtrail, passes the swinging doors and meet Knives in front of the piano.

My favorite part of Ep 1 is definitely the fluid animation of the fighting scene with the military police. Its what locked me into this anime (i didnt know what to expect at first, and hadn't yet read the manga). But i was definitely impressed by the cinematographe and music of this first episode!
