I thought it was a bee fly, it seemingly isn't. I live in Connecticut if that helps narrow it down. I can't figure out what the fuck this guy is!!!! It was so cool but now it eludes me...........

Do I know any bug experts? Today I saw an insect with 4 or 6 long, spindly legs and an almost triangular, furry body. It had two sets of two wings, the wings joined at almost a right angle. Its eyes protruded on long stems and it had a beak of some kind that was sucking nutrients from a dandelion🧵

To be fair though: I think the Forgotten Land added levels were awkwardly handled and the Switch 2 version of Galaxy 2 looks a bit funky and the controls are a tad off. So it's also maybe just a case of neither being great ways to revisit a pair of games I've loved for a long time

Playing the Forgotten Land Switch 2 Edition after Donkey Kong didn't move me despite loving Forgotten Land on Switch 1. I'm feeling similarly playing Galaxy 2... I wanna jump back into Odyssey bc I might be so enamored with these sandbox 3D platformers to where the linear ones aren't hitting now

I wonder if Nintendo is going to keep us in suspense for a week like Emio. Feels like a bad idea here when the answer is, in all likelihood, that this tease is not for a game but "just" some animated shorts from Nintendo Pictures. If that's what this is, will it be deflating after a week of mystery?

So I don't know. My guess is it's probably some new lifestyle initiative or merch in the image of My Mario. I don't know what to make of the seemingly apparently Pikmin nods or the idea that this could be a Baby Rosalina tease for the film. It doesn't seem like game or movie thing to me

The Emio tease had both the Switch logo at the front of it and an ESRB rating, neither of which Close To You have. Nintendo is also the sole copyright, if this were a movie I'd expect to see Illumination/Universal. All the Mario galaxy Movie stuff is presented as "Nintendo + Illumination". 🧵

I love how small Atsu is in the frame. (And how there's no visible UI outside of combat!) When I almost lose track of where the character is in the world, then it's really easy for me to lose myself in it, too

Ghost of Yotei is awesome. I love a big game where I can just revel in what an absurd amount of time, money, and development talent can produce. Outstanding sense of scale, even better art direction, time-tested game mechanics. A perfectly curated adventure that keeps me feeling smart & badass
