Some of you asked about my opinion on the Chinese dialogue in Sinners, because apparently, I'm the Chinese dialogue guy after that one video.

According to BTS info, Remmick spoke Toisanese, which is period accurate.
Funnily enough, I happened to speak Toisanese.
And I couldn't understand jack sh*t.

The film was made around the time the Hanfu revival movement was entering the mainstream. Young Chinese otakus were reclaiming traditional Chinese aesthetics, and got called "weird" for doing so.
Since then, wearing Hanfu in public has been normalized. They've made old Chinese culture cool again.
