If you haven’t heard or don’t remember the joke, I’ve posted it here:

Lately, a lot of friends have been telling me that they were listening to an interview with Cory Doctorow about his latest book, “Enshittification,” and heard him attribute this quip to me:

“When life gives you SARS, you make *sarsaparilla*.”

Here’s a the story behind the quote.

I was supposed to post this last Monday, but things got really busy really quickly (or was I pretending, as the attached calendar tells you to?).

This is one of my favorites from this week’s picdump on Global Nerdy. It’s also a heads-up to anyone planning to pay to put ads in ChatGPT: for maximum hilarious effect, be sure to write your ad copy so that it looks like a ChatGPT completion.

I try not to add to the listener stats of “bad interviewers / interesting guests” podcasters like Lex Fridman and Joe Rogan, but I make exceptions. I might have to do that for Rogan’s interview with NVIDIA’s Jensen Huang, if only to hear the “Ogg want to know more” schtick on the topic of GPUs.
