I know it's a boiled frog scenario but the OOBE for Windows devices is just awful. Seriously. You get a new toy and all you wanna do is play with it but instead there's 20 hoops and two sessions of forced updates to jump through. It's an hour before you're even at the desktop. 🤮

Just contacted a company we bought a $200 license from in 2018 and asked about transferring the software to a new PC and they said "Yep just install the trial, send the code and I'll send you a new key."

You could always schedule one stream per week (even an additional one if you have the capacity) with whatever else you wanted to experiment with, as a start. Nobody owns your content but you.

I'm making more of a point to buy things like treats from local non-chain places. I spend more, so do so less frequently, but I know it's not going to some global mega-corp that would sell my organs to a billionaire for $20 if the option arose.
