Armchair Books, which I, along with friends and family, once frequented, starting around 1980. Someone tore down the structure, circa 2023, after years of decline (and ever-increasing seediness). The gables of the attached house, and other small houses and buildings, stood amidst bare trees, Milwaukie Avenue, and a twilight winter sky. -JBF

Since @rkinnett.bsky.social just posted the Heart of the Heart Nebula, bringing back my version. Ryan, my 10" RC doesn't have quite the resolution of that 30", but I shot dual narrowband and got more dust and O[III] LOL. 🔭
Melotte 15, the Heart of the Heart Nebula, shot in dual narrowband, with a color palate that makes H-alpha gas look yellow and O[III] (ionized oxygen) appear blue. There are twisting pillars of gas and dust lit up by nearby stars. It's pretty out there.

I don't think I saw the debut show on its first broadcast, but I started watching SNL not long after, 70s, 80s, and beyond. Quality fluctuated, but the show took risks then, with guests such as Burroughs, Klaus Nomi/Bowie, The Clash, etc.
