This small coffeehouse in Deland, Florida is pretty magical. The theming inside and out works with the menu.

Since the Transfer Portal is so common in college football, shouldn't that result in fans having less attachment and the value of the NIL deals decreasing?

I'm praying for Ben Sasse. I always thought he was a decent person and one of the most intellectual elected Senators.

I highly recommend this episode of You Might be Right from the U. of Tennessee Baker School of Public Policy featuring Sasse and Tom Daschele.

I'm walking around Florida Southern College today. The college's Frank Lloyd Wright architecture is an amazing asset, but also, it feels like the Florida climate is trying to consume it.

I volunteered this morning to repair and add some copper door flashing on the 93 year old Casa Feliz home in Winter Park, Florida. The house was designed by James Gamble Rogers II. His son Jack Rogers was there helping out.

I hadn't been to Cracker Barrel since May of 2023, and I have to admit I had a really great experience and meal there today.

One of my favorite television series is True South by John T. Edge. If you want to slow down and appreciate the simple things find this show.

@bookshop.org when I see this "call to action" I would expect the name of the local book store to replace the text "Choose a Bookstore" unless I'm doing something wrong.

@bookshop.org I enjoyed the Decoder Rewind this week about Bookshop. I like the concept of Remarkable as a Bookshop e-reader. I personally think it would be a great retail experience if my local bookstore, Writer's Block, and all the 2,200 Bookshop aligned stores sold e-readers in store.
