I will continue to fight to protect religious rights, freedom of expression, and foster a welcoming community for all in Washington’s Ninth District.

Today marks Religious Freedom Day, a time to observe and learn the worship of our neighbors. In a time when freedoms are under attack, it’s important to remember that hatred is fueled by ignorance.

It’s hard for people out of work right now to find new jobs.

The Trump Economy is not helping workers. It’s only making the rich richer.

HHS and RFK Jr. must stop toying with life-and-death funds that are critical for the recovery of thousands of Americans.
January 15, 2026 at 3:48 PM
Last night, the funds were reinstated.

This unnecessary flip-flop caused chaos and confusion for patients, hospitals, and health care workers that could have easily been avoided if this administration had followed the law in the first place.

The Trump Administration's inconsistency is endangering access to mental health services and substance-use disorder treatments.

Late Tuesday, Trump's HHS stripped federal dollars from essential overdose prevention, drug use treatment, and mental health care services.

Having safe, reliable, and affordable public transportation in South King County has helped thousands of residents commute to work, shop at small businesses, and explore other areas of our state.

Craig: "These US attorneys are witnessing what all Minnesotans are witnesses right now, which is Trump and Kristi Noem's ICE terrorizing the people of Minnesota, citizens and non-citizens. It's some of the most egregious behavior by any administration that I've ever witnessed in my entire lifetime."

Aside from sky-high housing costs, many of those experiencing homelessness struggle with mental health challenges and substance use, so having federal resources allocated to treat these individuals and place them in safe, permanent housing helps break the cycle of homelessness.

Today, the homeless population in King County is about 12,000 people, and we need more resources to support these individuals. Thankfully, a federal judge blocked the Trump administration’s effort to restrict funding to address homelessness.

As a moderate, he's going to have lots of ppl asking him to abolish ICE. We talked through why he isn't embracing that. slate.com/podcasts/wha...

It’s difficult to afford basic necessities, from groceries to housing. We need a minimum wage that reflects the affordability crisis in our country. Now, more Americans will earn a minimum wage of $15 or more than workers who earn the federal minimum wage of $7.25.
