Today marks Religious Freedom Day, a time to observe and learn the worship of our neighbors. In a time when freedoms are under attack, it’s important to remember that hatred is fueled by ignorance.

It’s hard for people out of work right now to find new jobs.

The Trump Economy is not helping workers. It’s only making the rich richer.
Job openings slide to 2nd lowest level in 5 years as hiring remains sluggish
U.S. employers posted far fewer jobs in November than the previous month, a sign that employers aren’t yet ramping up hiring even as growth has picked up

The Trump Administration's inconsistency is endangering access to mental health services and substance-use disorder treatments.

Late Tuesday, Trump's HHS stripped federal dollars from essential overdose prevention, drug use treatment, and mental health care services.

Craig: "These US attorneys are witnessing what all Minnesotans are witnesses right now, which is Trump and Kristi Noem's ICE terrorizing the people of Minnesota, citizens and non-citizens. It's some of the most egregious behavior by any administration that I've ever witnessed in my entire lifetime."

Today, the homeless population in King County is about 12,000 people, and we need more resources to support these individuals. Thankfully, a federal judge blocked the Trump administration’s effort to restrict funding to address homelessness.

I'm grateful @adamsmith.house.gov was game to talk about just about anything with me: Iran, Venezuela, and, yes, ICE.

As a moderate, he's going to have lots of ppl asking him to abolish ICE. We talked through why he isn't embracing that. slate.com/podcasts/wha...

It’s difficult to afford basic necessities, from groceries to housing. We need a minimum wage that reflects the affordability crisis in our country. Now, more Americans will earn a minimum wage of $15 or more than workers who earn the federal minimum wage of $7.25.
Minimum wage rises in some states as workers struggle with basic costs
As the rising cost of basic expenses continues to fuel an affordability crisis, millions will see an increase in pay this month with new minimum wages.

This Trump Administration has a complete lack of respect for the rights of an individual citizen and has created an environment where officers are looking to escalate. That needs to change.

Donald Trump is spearheading a political, pointless investigation into the Federal Reserve, jeopardizing the independence of the agency as well as the financial stability of our country. It is Congress' role to preserve the Fed's autonomy and not bend the knee to an autocratic president.

Rep. Smith: Trump is saying that the law doesn't apply to him. When you have a leader of a country who says, 'I can do whatever I want, no law, international or domestic, is a check on that,' I would challenge someone to explain to me why that isn't an authoritarian fascist approach to governing.
