Pace was never his greatest strength - but he won everything in the air, often in both boxes - in L1 and Championship. Reads a game very well too. I think it’s all about CB pairings and him and Brown were very good together.

I just hope he has a club lined up and that he is the one who pushed for this. A contracted championship club captain - a CB in his prime years - should surely command a decent transfer fee. Is it bad business - or the club being kind to EM so he can get a better wage due to no transfer pay?

It doesn’t feel like a fitting end for a player of his importance over six years. No chance to say goodbye - Matty Taylor deadline day vibes. However if he has a club lined up, I guess he’ll get paid better now there’s no transfer fee - so a good deal for him if so.

Don’t like the way this Elliott Moore exit has been done. Massively underrated player in Oxford’s rise to (and survival in) the Championship who deserves better. Hope he has a good club lined up. Only Sam Long left from this picture now. #oufc

All professional footballers can hit the ball with a ping but Cameron Brannagan connects with the purest of all pings - it makes a different noise to anyone else. (Also - yes, he did move the ball, but the keeper rechecked the wall afterwards - it was just perfect power and placement!) #oufc
