My main interest is the Sengoku-Jidai, specifically the period around 1540-1590. I play miniatures games in the period from large battles in 6mm down to small skirmishes in 28mm.
England 5-0 up against China at half-time. Chinese defending on a par with the defence of the Forbidden City in 1900.

Trump's pardoned a turkey. Someone probably told him it was involved in a coop.

Only the second time David Moyes has been able to engineer an Everton victory at Old Trafford. The first time was when he was United manager.

Ordered some paint supplies. But German Field Grey out of stock. Must be down to @geofftbond.bsky.social on a Black Friday spending spree.

Snow? It never snows in November. Still, at least I can tell the difference between wintry precipitation and an airborne assault, eh Leutnant Enthammer?

Museum model of Nagoya castle. Constructed in 1612, so really post-Sengoku Jidai. But everyone still uses this type of castle in wargames, and they do look impressive.

Switch on the cricket and Nikesh Rughani is talking about food as usual. Dread the day he's on commentary with Dan Norcross and they spend an hour talking about the lunches at Surrey.

10mm AWI at the club tonight. All is peaceful on the shores of the Potomac. Until the British turn up to crack down on the crime wave that isn't happening there.

Thought I'd let the dog decide where we went for his walk today. He didn't have a clue what he was doing or where he was going, but steadfastly refused to listen to any advice to change direction. In the end it took an intervention just to get us back where we started.

It was like walking Liz Truss
