Attending #Flux2025? 🇮🇪☘️
Come see my poster today! (Poster #T1)
We explore how active attention speeds up processing in and out of the classroom.
Let’s chat about: hearing vs. listening, research–practice partnerships, and mobile EEG!

‏I’m deeply grateful to the amazing team that made this possible, to the scientists who advised along the way, and to my superiors Bruce McCandliss, whose trust and guidance allowed this vision to happen .

‏I’m just beginning to dig into the data (and there’s a lot), but I’ve never been more excited about the potential this work holds—for science, for education, and for the kids at the center of it all.

Yesterday I gave a talk at #CNS2025 on my postdoc project bridging lab & classroom—measuring attention in schools. As an early-stage researcher, it was an incredible opportunity to stand on that stage and contribute to this evolving conversation on real life neuroscience.

1st preprint of 2025! @jamielmitchell.bsky.social found that as children with dyslexia improve their reading ability, their reading area in the brain grows, yet remains markedly different from their peers. So excited to see this after years of data collection with this great team! Feedback welcome!
