I don't want to give to many spoilers. The characters and their circumstances are really well written and acted. The plot is well done. It's a movie that does NOT rely on special affects, yet perfectly presents a frightening technological future. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

It's placed in 2038 France, which is under authoritarian control. The revolutionary opposition are eco activist groups. The main characters are a handful of eco activists, undocumented immigrants, and 1 military commander. 'planet b' is a....prison...and ai adjacent tech based plot twist.

(sigh) this is such a basic idea. if the Democrats had been viewing the current situation properly, at any time during 2025, this would have already happened. Occasional, individual, Democrats are providing the leadership we need - the democratic party is not. Gawd damn this is frustrating.

The NY Times published an editorial citing Susan Collin as "a moderate Republican." Collins is a reliable vote for Trump's agenda, has voted against democracy at every turn and supported extremist judges.
