Last night's attempt at stir fried rice. It looks and smells right, but something was undeniably off. Now one might criticize me for using a non-stick wok or using brown rice; however, there's an ingredient or process step that I missed or botched. I'll try again sometime in the future.

Today I made my first potato salad. In January! It was almost spot on except that the potatoes were slightly under cooked. And maybe a tad more mayo (never thought I'd ever say that). And I needed a larger bowl to mix it in. Still quite edible.

Somebody help me out here. If my electric bill is being restructured to differentiate a charge that I'm already paying then why am I going to be paying more? Moreover, why do does one pay less for using more electricity? I'm in the lower usage tier at the top as seen below.

Well it happened again. I managed to get today off in front of a three day weekend. This is the third time I've done this since Christmas, and I got to say that I definitely feel it.
Now it's time to get busy and not squander my time off.

I moved this door mat from the back deck to the front, southward facing side of the house. It's starting to look like a Chia Pet, and I'm hoping direct sunlight will take out whatever it is that's growing on it.

And then suddenly "Forest Hermit" popped in my head without a thought. Think Radagast the Brown but with less bird shit in my beard. Or maybe not.

Today is the day. The sun at my location rises one minute earlier than yesterday. The days are now getting longer on both ends. To be honest though sunrise will occur less than a minute per day. It'll be another 10 day before it's a 1 minute difference.

Today is the day. The sun at my location rises one minute earlier than yesterday. The days are now getting longer on both ends. To be honest though sunrise will occur less than a minute per day. It'll be another 10 day before it's a 1 minute difference.

Last night before returning back to work after five days. I had intended to console myself with a burrito from a local taqueria, but I had a late lunch and couldn't get hungry enough to tackle something like that. At the last minute, I decided on pancakes for dinner. I'm feeling very satisfied now.

11 years, 3 months, 19 days this happened in a South Lake Tahoe hotel. It was my last stop on the way home from vacationing near Death Valley. Enjoy this softie Sunday. I figure I owe this after my little trick last Friday.
