If you see editors or other publishing professionals asking for "Standard Manuscript Format," this usually means a Word document, 8.5" x 11", 12-point Times New Roman, 1" margins on all sides, double spaced.

Not sure what point of view (POV) to write your novel from? Here's a quick run-down:

1st person
- Uses "I" and "me"
- limited (narrator can't tell readers anything they don't know)
- the most intimate POV
- common in YA

I'm working on a spreadsheet that will generate random characters based on details you've inputted beforehand (lists of names you like, personality traits, etc.). The idea is that you don't have to interrupt your flow for too long when introducing a new character. #Writing #WritingTools

I know we're all seeing 87 unhinged things per day, but "guys if our multi billion dollar product doesn't start being useful for something, literally anything, the people might not appreciate us wrecking the planet over it anymore" is a truly bananapants thing to say out loud

Want to develop your character's voice but not sure how? Try reading a novel with more than one POV character and analyze how they are different (They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera is a great option for this). Can you tell who is speaking when you flip to a random part in the book? #WritingTip
