Columbus was a bastard. Rapacious and cruel. His legacy and the "Columbian Exchange" were mythologized in the US in the early 19th Century, in part to justify slavery and Manifest Destiny.

Even the priest who accompanied him on his first voyage called him out.

Yep. I got my Covid booster and flu jab but it's approaching time to mask up again. That, and try to avoid crowded indoor spaces when you can.

The last one is probably a good idea for other reasons, too, given how things currently stand in this country.

Every time I deployed, I received boosters for diseases particular to the region for which I was bound. Typhus, Cholera, Malaria, everything. I took every Covid vax available. Just got flu shot and Covid booster together two weeks ago, Never an ill effect. Not once.

I received another round of all my childhood vaxxes, of course, plus Plague I, II, and III, Anthrax, Hepatitis A, B and C, Gammaglobulin, Flu, Tetanus, Yellow Fever, and many I don't even remember!

When I in-processed into the Army some years ago, we all received our initial round of vaccines/inoculations all at one time. The line moved between two rows of medics and we got multiple shots in both arms. I subsequently received dozens and dozens of vaxxes over my career.

Trump will attack Iran. I believe at this point he's in Putin/ Saudi Arabia's pockets. It's clear that the has no regard for the Constitution, and Congress will sit on its collective ass and do nothing but fret and tweet out how disappointed they are.
